Iowa is NOT flat.
We left the campsite in the morning to meet John in Stockton, where the farm he is staying this summer is. It was a cool ride along the Mississippi river. Had a flat as we left the campsite, so I bought a new tire later that, Deutsch qualitat! Since we were going to meet John in the evening, we asked him to take our bags in his car. ... it's a confusing tangle of corridors and long lines to do that, with almost no signs telling you how to navigate the mess. But we persevered. ... but unfortunatley a bit of a wasted journey. But, one never knows what gem one will find. The museum is in anold picture theatre and that was good to see.

We departed Wichita this morning continuing north on Interstate 35 towards Kansas City and eventually arrived to Iowa for my first ever visit to the Hawkeye State as it's known. But I soon found that it is really all about the corn here: miles and miles of perfectly laid out cornfields in a beautiful deep green color - very pleasing to see driving down the road at 75 MPH.
