... I had a king bed with pullout couch because Marriott's website said it slept 4. It was a huge, new room. However, there was no couch and no other rooms available. I had to get several blankets and comforters, so the kids could sleep on the floor.

... Platte River. Miles and miles, fueled by nothing but podcasts and corn nuts. We stopped at Gothenburg where we went to see an old Pony Express Station which was still in one piece. While it was not in its original location, it was close enough and was the original building. The old wooden structure housed a friendly interpreter and the most amazing artifact: a Pony Express saddle. The system lasted only a little over a year. Wiry men rode hard for miles ...

... with my Grandma Boma when I was younger. I guess I shared that memory with Dean once and since then he's been asking if we would take him to Perkins for pie someday too!
