We had planned to surprise our parents by having our siblings invite them to dinner at the same restaurant. We told them we would arrive three days later, so we were looking forward to seeing their shocked faces when we walked in. The flight from Corpus Christi to Dallas was delayed but worked out fine. Our flight from Dallas to Denver, however, was diverted to land at Colorado Springs due to bad weather closing DIA. We joined ...

Arrived Denver

A travel blog entry by 52retired61 on Jul 12, 2014

We sped through security because we'd purchased the "pre-check" option for $12.50 each (basically means you're cleared prior to arrival, you go through the shortcut line AND you don 't have to take off your shoes!).] Our flight left & arrived on time - very smooth & comfy as we chose to sit in aisle seats across from each other (more space to stretch & easier to go to the potty). Our graduation ceremony was just beautiful, and we were pleased that the Archbishop of Denver was there to present our certificates to us. After spending a few minutes at the ...

Then we got ready to drive to Beaver Meadows Ranch. It was about an hours drive and we saw a lot of mountains along the way. We we got outside and it was FREEZING! We walked through the wind and snow to the place where we were going tubing. What you do to tube is grab ...

Flying IAD-DEN

A travel blog entry by lewnwdc on Jun 17, 2013

... to get out to IAD, where I managed to get on the late flight to DEN, which had been oversold.

Whew. I'm exhausted. And this is only the first small step on the long trip halfway across the world to Thailand’s capital, one of my absolute favorite places in the world. I hope the rest of the trip goes smoother than this wacky beginning. But somehow I suspect that shall not be the case.

It’s 11:02 p.m. MDT as I sit here in Economy Plus Seat 8E, a middle ...
