I had a good day at the conference. My panel presentation (in afternoon) went well, and I managed to have lunch with one friend, then drinks with another friend. Paul and I wandered around the walking street (16th) in the evening, then had dinner at a bar/pub, where we could watch the Giants win the pennant (again the Cardinals). Exciting ...

On the way back we saw really big moose sitting among the trees. We came home for a little while and then Natalie, Dad and I got ready to go to Walmart to pick up a few things. After Walmart we had chicken and rice for dinner and went to bed after a long tiring ...

As I awoke this morning and had to deal with some work emails, the reality started to set in that this thing is winding down. While I know that I am extremely fortunate to be able to take off the time that I do, and I remain very grateful for being in a situation where I can do so, this trip was so great on so many levels and I am sad to see it coming to an end. "Reality" is sometimes ...
