I went through the safety screening: empty pockets, laptops, tablets, and liquids out, shoes and belts off etc. Next came emigration, with reasonable length lines, and finally we entered the departure lounge. I had to go up a broken escalator to reach the American Airlines departure zone where we had go through yet another almost identical safety screening: empty pockets, etc. etc.
