... trip to Ft. Lauderdale fell through and if we wanted to spend as much time in Europe as we wanted we couldn't wait any longer. I have sent 4 emails to them and the last one said that if we weren't leaving Mobile by the 28th we couldn't go. They have never answered any of my emails.
We are renting a car from Burmingham on the 5th and doing some errands there, then back here for the night. ...
... on Aug. 3rd. We spent 2 nights anchored out and the 3rd night tied to the dock at Bobby's Fish Camp just above the first lock on the river at Coffeyville.
The first day it was stinkin' hot well into the evening. We elected to sleep outside in the cockpit because it was too hot inside. The mosquitoes found us and it was less than a perfect cruising evening. About midnight it was cool enough to go in and escape the bugs.

... homes. Large porches, everything flowered and nicely manicured lawns. Lots of barbershops and churches. Hugh says he saw church, church, church, adult bookstore. Repeat.
Georgetown, Georgia stopped just the other side of the bridge. Not much to say here except now we've been in Georgia! The bridge was pretty. Flowering trees planted alongside of it was unusual.

They bought two rotisserie chickens at WallyWorld and Greg was the designated chicken picker. This will give them something fresh to eat for a couple of days. They may make spaghetti tonight or possibly hot dogs with chilli. Better than sandwiches again, I suppose.
