    The Original London Bridge in AZ?

    ... City of London, as a marketing tactic to attract prospective buyers to Lake Havasu. It worked!!! People coming from all over the place to see the bridge, and the oilman recouped the cost of land development and shipping cost. FYI, the bridge was shipped on a cargo with nothing else but the bridges (disassembled) to Port of Houston, and transported overland.

    ... it down to Havasu tomorrow. After we went shopping, we left Barstow, and started driving towards Seligman.

    When we arrived at Seligman, we checked-in at the hotel. We were greeted by a friendly host, and he had a lot of information on the area. Our room was decorated with pictures of the 50's and the beds are very warm.

    ... unlike liberal California it doesn't like immigration and wants things to remain American. We discovered this the same evening as we went for our first diner experience; Dave asked for his green chilli burger spicy and was told "This is Arizona, if you want it spicy go back to California, Mexico or ....Spain!?" The following morning we drove to the nearby town of Williams, which had a lot more to it than Seligman. ...

At the end of the talk, after Dave had checked Liam and Katelyn's Junior Ranger books, he presented them with their Junior Ranger badges with a short ceremony where they had to promise to look after the canyon and other national parks and beautiful places back home.     ... and were boarded by the same outlaws from the morning shoutout who "robbed" the train. On each journey all the people sitting around me were from California so hadn't had that far to travel. Once back in Williams it was time to rejoin Route 66 to a Seligman. The first stretch was on the interstate as the road dropped almost 1000 feet down to Ash Fork for a short section off the interstate followed by a another short stretch on the interstate.
