I did my research when I arrived to find that the nearest bar/restaurant with a decent review was 52 miles away!

One of the reviews I read just said 'KEEP DRIVING'.

Dialed a pizza place and decided to eat in and have an early night.

I came up to the Stockton exits and took the first one I saw with a sign advertising the Budget Inn! Fate had also placed it next to a Shell station and a Pizza Hut! I was being treated to a Tri Fecta after my trying day, but the surprises weren't done. Upon entering my room I found this incredible Orange wall!

Hello from the great state of Texas, or How y'all doing? After a long two lane highway, heavy with hurried oil workers and their big trucks, we made it to Fort Stockton, TX. The scenery was bland desert, oil wells and random shooting flames from the middle of the desert, which I thought seemed dangerous, but apparently is it supposed to work that way. Why Fort Stockton? We're using this as a quick stop to ...

After spending about 4 hours at the Nixon Library, I followed the GPS directions across a half a dozen highways, to finally hop back on the I-10 east. I made it to Phoenix by 8pm, and stayed at an AirBnB that is tops so far (Picture enclosed). This home is probably worth a million dollars, with an in ground pool, etc. I talked to Valerie the host, and then went to sleep. The cost of this place was $50

We got off I-10 for gas at Rt 18. This older guy was tracking miles and such on a trip with his sons. He stood by that gas pump waiting for his numbers to record in his book and when the wind took his receipt in flight he tore off after it. For an old guy he moved pretty well. His sons couldn't believe it and he was close to being run over by a semi.

          Anyway we headed ...
