Starting early is not my forte, but Wendell insisted we attempt to leave by 9 AM. Fortunately, most everything was packed and loaded, so we were able to pull out by 9:30. Our route took us from home (Spring Branch, TX) up 281 North to Johnson City. There we headed west on 290.
