      ... we took a ride through the town and also visited the town of Mesilla. Mesilla reminded me a lot of Santa Fe, just a little smaller. Adobe buildings throughout the town, cute little shops and plenty of places to eat. Just the atmosphere reminded me of Santa Fe. I think this is my favorite place in NM.
      The Rio Grande runs through Las Cruces, expect it's all dried up---not a drop of water in it. ...

      ... t violate any local laws. In Atlanta, for instance, it is illegal to stay overnight in a motorhome or a camping trailer. So you can't do it there..........not that I'd want to. But if you're traveling and need a place to park for 8 hours and get some sleep, Walmart, Flying J, Loves Truck Stops, and usually Pilot have places for you. And it's free.

      Our next stop was an overnighter at the Hill Top KOA in Fort Stockton, Texas. Yes another KOA. I think we will be able to make a commercial for them after this trip.
