Set out to get into the US through Port Huron along the way we phoned our youngest grandson Maddoc to wish him a very happy 5th birthday with a bad rendition of the old favourite song.

Made our way to the border got all the fruit accept an apple and pear confiscated bad people we are, anyway on we went. Drove longer than we wanted but made it to a campground.

... looking for, Bay City Recreation area. We went there and got a few better pictures of the lake, but I still liked Ontario better.

When we got back tot he hotel and checked anew went to the pool, the boys played pool. Later I made tacos in the room with my Nuwave cooktop. Then Ben went for a run and Robbie took a nap while I plotted the next day and posted pictures.

... for a quick rest and lunch before taking a bus over to the nearby favela of Vidigal for a boxing lesson! Our lesson was at an extremely basic-looking place - the place was dirty and unfinished, with nothing but a concrete floor and a few punching bags. However, what's amazing about the place is that the London 2012 silver medalist trained here, and our very own instructor for the day won the silver medal at the Brazilian championships!!
