... watch the kids watch a parade for the first time. At night there was a light show, which was lots of fun and a great way to end the day. Next day we were at Disneyland. This was so much busier but after our day out yesterday we had worked out the fast pass system and managed to get around just about everything we wanted to. I even went on the Matterhorn (had nightmares about this ride since riding it as a nine year old) Loved all the rides, and the kids ...

But as far as theme parks go, it is done so well here. The theatrics, grandeur, tastefulness of the ...

... I am writing this as we fly. There is new wifi, free tv, on this plane that we can not get to work! Oh well! Susan has stocked her bag with Disney movies for the upcoming week. She is viewing Snow White to begin her fun week, "reliving" her childhood she says. Technically there is no meal on Southwest but they passed a box of snacks with our drinks, then later they pass the cookies that were not chosen on the first go around, plus we had Provence sandwiches. How do ...

The beginning of the road trip- LA!

A travel blog entry by kirstyandtom on Jun 27, 2014

Hey Guys, We have now been in the USA for a week and it has been pretty hectic and incredible already. Once we arrived in LA last Tuesday (the 17th) we had the rest of the day there, so we dumped our bags in the hostel and headed out. We were staying on the Hollywood BLVD which was cool. We were typical tourist excited by our first glimpse of the Hollywood sign and over whelmed by excitement of being in LA. The following day we were heading to ...
