December 1, Monday
Second last sea day and our last formal night. We attended lectures this morning then sat on deck for the rest of the afternoon until the next lecture at 3pm. Yet another peaceful night's sleep at the Del. As we woke, the weather looked a little more promising, with blue skies and a crisp breeze.
Utilizing our mini-fridge, we had breakfast in our room, which is always so nice for our family. The kids are beginning to hate going out to eat. Funny, when we’re at home in St. Louis and don’t venture out too much for meals, we get complaints from Josie (never Mac) that we never go out to eat ...

My parents and Shaunette went their separate ways from us as we wanted to head to the ocean and they wanted to go to a casino east of San Diego. After driving 1,500 miles to San Diego from Texas we were too close to the Pacific to say I didn't get to see the ocean, even though we never intended to set foot in it.
So after getting everything packed and loaded we departed ...
... and lots of seals. They were so cool! I face-timed with Avery while at the beach so she could see the ocean - if it's possible, I think she likes the beach and ocean as much as I do! Then it was Coldstone Creamery for dinner! YIKES!!
Tomorrow we will have lunch with a cousin of Dave's and then we are off to the desert and Yuma. No more ocean!?!?! ...
