    My parents and Shaunette went their separate ways from us as we wanted to head to the ocean and they wanted to go to a casino east of San Diego. After driving 1,500 miles to San Diego from Texas we were too close to the Pacific to say I didn't get to see the ocean, even though we never intended to set foot in it.

    ... of San Diego, the bay area and the military base. The main visitors attractions are at the top of the hills. However, there are also some very cool tide-pools right on the coast. We made our way down the footpaths to view them, and it was well worth the short climb to get there. The views along the coast were beautiful - with the red rocks contrasting with the blue sea.

    ... and lots of seals. They were so cool! I face-timed with Avery while at the beach so she could see the ocean - if it's possible, I think she likes the beach and ocean as much as I do! Then it was Coldstone Creamery for dinner! YIKES!!
    Tomorrow we will have lunch with a cousin of Dave's and then we are off to the desert and Yuma. No more ocean!?!?! ...
