Written on Tuesday morning, June 3.
I was up late on the ship, but still woke up in time to see the sunrise over Amsterdam from our room. This is the "last breakfast" on the ship so it is well attended. The ship arrives early so many people are up and gone. Lots of flights leave around 11 am. That would not happen in the US ports. There was no immigration off the ship. ... Was impressed with Smithsonian's Air and Space Museum and Barb took in the Native Indian Museum. We were both particularly taken with Arlington National Cemetery - on rolling, beautifully treed and manicured hills it is huge and in spite of the thousands of people who were there, it was very peaceful and oddly quiet.
