      What a pleasant surprise! The park is near the highway but there are trees every and the sites quite accessible. We had an uneventful drive. It rained intermittently with stretches of sun shine.

      People in the park obviously take xmas seriously! Take a look at the pictures. What a joy!

      ... along the river. When we got into the water it was freezing. A guy had mentioned to us that it was probably around 71 degrees (f) I'm the springs but most likely 10 or so degrees warmer in the river. And were we glad for the increase in temperature when we hit the river.       ... up camp it was time to walk Maggie. Guess what greeted her on her walk? Fire ants and thistles! Ed and I both vividly remember both of these things as very painful but Maggie of course has never encountered them before. Luckily she has us to steer her away from danger!
