It was a pleasant place to wander around for the best part of a day, and on the last full day in Canada ... good views of the Toronto skyline as well.

But back to the Hotel with plenty of time to pack everything down to three bags for my flight down to Chicago ... originally I had booked Economy, with choice of seat (a little extra, but it got me an aisle seat), but no ...

    Hawaii Trip

... Maui. We arrive at the Sheraton - wasn't going well there either - it was cheaper to book directly with Sheraton than through expedia. Had to call expedia to cancel the reservation and they had to speak to the manager at the Sheraton. Room finally cancelled. Price was higher than she quoted me so ...

Our long awaited TV fix proved disappointing as the airways now seem to be dominated by duck, snake, and hog hunters, storage locker dudes, ex-wives of rock stars, and numerous other stories of people of the missing teeth variety?? And given that the poor TV selection drove us quickly outdoors, we took up a couple sports that all retirees are supposed to do- tennis and golf. Many thanks to Anne & Sandy ...

Day 15: Spent day flying Paris/Zurich/JFK/Toronto

A travel blog entry by cindycooke on Aug 19, 2013

Today was an early start to our day, as we were leaving Paris and heading to JFK. I was wake on and off all night from when we went to bed at like 7:30pm/8pm last night (Sunday night) to when we had to get up at 2:30am (Paris time). At 3:20am the taxi came to collect us, what a mad driver, no way he stayed to the speed limit as the lady we spoke to yesterday at our accommodation said it would take 45mins or so to get to the airport, we were there on 30mins. Where we had to sit and ...
