Second Overnight

On my way to St Johns, I stopped and had lunch at Chick-Fil-A, which is my favorite place to eat and it cost me $5.95. As I was almost to my hotel I stopped for gas at Speedys for $40.48 and then went to check in at Days Inn. I was not very hungry so I had a Clif Bar that I brought from home and then went to sleep.

A small very private and remote ranch with many horses but few guests. The receptionist came out to greet us and show us into the welcome cabin to check in. After signing a waiver for just about everything we were given our keys and told to follow Nancy on Smoky the horse who would show us to ...

... people who grew up there and continue to farm and care for the land, and received first hand knowledge of the traditions and history.

We made our way from Canyon de Chelly towards Sedona. It is a long drive and we were very happy to interject some excitement by detouring through the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest National Monuments. The coloration of the landscape in the ...
