... unique. We had wound our way up a peak we could see the road wind back down to a narrow valley. Down in the valley there was a stream & a bridge for the highway to cross. Then it wound back up another peak on the other side of the valley.

Casa Malpais RV Park is OK for an overnight trip. There were several very old rigs that people are obviously living in full time. That always makes an RV park seem a little iffy. ...

... Smoky shot off and Charles accelerated to catch them up.... Yee ha! We are staying in Grey Wolf cabin, each cabin is themed, no prizes for guessing the decor of our cabin.

We are staying in a traditional two bedroom, two bathroom cabin with a lounge/kitchen/dining area compete with rocking chair on the veranda too. No TV but we do have wifi, hence I can keep you up to date with how we are getting on. The fridge is stocked with soft drinks, all included ...

... astounding. Many of the more than 700 ruins in the canyon are not visible. We saw a few ruins from the rim that were not visible from our Jeep tour. Even the White House ruins look different from above. So many people only see the canyon, and the few ruins from the rim.
