... all the hustle and bustle of the closeness for the Naples area. I like it a lot but Bitsy prefers parks that are closer to shopping, ie restaurants, grocery and liquor stores. I say BS to Bits! ... Springs is the "sponge capital of the world" It was started by Greek fisherman in the early l900's. This seaside village is still a thriving working port, and lively Greek traditions and feeling is apparent. It also showcases Victorian era mansions and buildings.
We enjoyed a video about the history and present sponge fishing industry, and strolled thru the museum and sponge shops.

We made our way to Panama city ...

... disappointed and leave the place over stuffed and hurting. The portion sizes were enormous and we didn't even finish what we had. Sheree tried corn nuggets as her side dish. These are little morsels of cream corn fried in a batter the size of key limes and then dusted with powdered sugar. Sounded strange but were really good.
