Although the price was low, the motel is in a state of disrepair. It appears that there is some reconstruction work in progress, but still a long way to go. At least our room is clean and the air conditioner works. Something to be grateful for.

As we are cycling across the USA and thought we would be camping most of the time, we are finding motels to be cheaper or just as cheap as camping. So tonight we choose Days Inn and the room is clean, and from desk person very helpful.....Thanks

        Day 1 on the Road

What was supposed to be a 10 hour day turned in to a 12 hour day on the road. I forgot to account for the road construction and the fact that Suzi and I need to get out of the truck and move around every hour or so.
Other than a very long day, it has been a good day. It is always a pleasure to travel with my sweetheart. We always make the day …

The Colorado River may have started the erosion but wind is the principle agent. There are a multitude of canyons with slick rock walls, hoodoos, pillars and the like. Besides driving the main activities in the park are mountain bike riding and hiking. I took numerous photos, some of which will be attached to this blog sometime. We dropped over the edge ...

We then continued up the valley towards Salt Lake City. We were there and took a good tour of Salt Lake a couple of years ago so that was not on our "to do" ...

After a hot night we traveled on to Park City getting there about 1/2 hour before our appointment at Best Buy. The installer said the Sprinter install kit had been in their shop for years. We left it to be updated and walked to the Swaner Ecocenter for an hour. While on the way there we each earned a two dollar bill each answering a survey about Park City. We answered as best we could only being there 30 minutes. The Swaner Center is affiliated with Utah ...
