At times I have gotten caught up in all the minutiae and forgotten that this trip is a pretty big deal. ... divide on I70. Experienced hot, cold, rain, then more hot cold rain! But we actually avoided most of the heavy showers - got lucky. I70 has to be the most scenic interstate in the US! Was a nice ride, just lots of traffic til past Vail. Glenwood Springs canyon area is very scenic too. Arrived in Grand Junction @ 5. (250 mi). Stayed at another no-tel motel, but actually very nice.

As we are cycling across the USA and thought we would be camping most of the time, we are finding motels to be cheaper or just as cheap as camping. So tonight we choose Days Inn and the room is clean, and from desk person very helpful.....Thanks
