      ... that they know they're going to get fed. The cows are not so obedient and considering their size, you have to be careful.

      After a few days visit, it was time to head back to Delaware and it appears we headed home just in time as we ran into a 1 Nov snow in the western reaches of North Carolina.

      We are staying in the Land Between the Lakes a National Recreation Area. The Canal Campground is at the northern most tip and is just a few miles from the recreation area. We drove south to the Woodland Nature Station and were told to "take a hike" so we did. We took a 2.5 mile hike around the Hematite Lake. It was a nice hiking area and we enjoyed ourselves.
      We then took a drive to the Elk and Bison Prairei where they have over 60 bison and 40 elk. You stay in your car and ...

      We made it over to Grand Rivers, Kentucky on Thursday. It was a short drive from Nashville and we arrived at our spot to find it very difficult to get our camper in. Thanks to a neighbor we wiggled it in! We are staying at the Canal Campground for 4 nights for $40. It is a COE campground and I get the discount for having the Golden Age Pass and being old:) We checked out the town of Grand River, population less than 400. But ...

      ... milk through long clear hoses into a large stainless steel vat and picked up by the delivery milk truck. And finally, a cup of sealant is popped over each tit to seal it from infections; the cows are returned to the field and the next set of 8 are led in for milking. I have to say that the fresh, cold, raw milk that we drank during our visit was the most mellow wonderful milk ever. And the fresh home made cheese was also delectable.
