The weather finally cleared up!! Today I started in Holland and went to see the Holland Lighthouse. You have to pay to get in, however, I found a small parking lot a little ways down the road and there is a bike trail that takes you along the water so you can see the lighthouse. ... for the night. We were very impressed with the beach on this great lake. Wide white sand, little surf, lots of dunes and clear water. I think we expected the muddy lakes of our native south. This campground was very large with several camping areas but we were at the one only about 50 yards from the beach area. ... Arbor and checked out the University and through Lansing the state capitol which was very small. We finally found Grand Rapids which was a very nice city.
