... City, Missouri (not to be confused with Kansas City, Kansas) but missed my turn due to, short term, but heavy rain. Drove for a while in a typically bewildered manner, then pulled into a random gas station for a nav check.

I checked my position with my iPhone, found myself on the map and then used my most powerful navigation asset; dumb luck, to find the gas station I pulled into was right next to the exit I needed to get back on track. Coincidence you say? ...

... about 75 miles of moderately steep rolling hills to our third "______ Grove" of the day to take a break in Fair Grove, pop 1300. The mayor stopped by to tell us that tonight is their annual Ice Cream Social. A colorful cross-section of folks, including some campaigning politicians. Ate pulled pork to support youth activities, drank a Coke to aid the Senior Center and soon will have pie and ice cream for ?the community ...

The rains pushed us into Marshfield late in the day. We escaped for a brief time at Olanna's cafe in Springfield. We had a second breakfast that carried us down the road. ... least 45 mph faster then any posted speed limit... except in town drive really slow ; it averages out that way.
2. All yellow lines mean pass really fast.
3. Double yellow lines mean pass really, really fast.
4. When the wheels scream around a turn, take the next one 10 mph faster (The wheels must have too many squeaks in them. Doubling and tripling your speed is important. It helps get the squeaks out).
