My only reason to come to Houston was to visit the NASA space center. Frankly, it was unimpressive at best.
Houston downtown looked very busy, huge and un-inviting and I felt very tired at the same time. So I decided not to do anything else in Houston. I checked into a motel close to NASA and crashed.

Nach elfeinhalb Stunden Flug und mindestens dreieinhalb Spielfilmen, zwei Musikalben, gefühlten 10.000 kcal an (schlechter) Nahrungszufuhr und gut durchgefroren (daher auch ohne Schlaf - Dank an United Airlines hierfür!), sind wir Ortszeit 18:30 h endlich in Houston, Texas gelandet. Cancelled flight and problem solving
The trip did not begin well. We were still driving along Mt. Diablo Blvd. towards the freeway when we received a call from United. Our 6:30pm departure was delayed until 10:45pm. We were scheduled to arrive Austin after 3am. Yoiks. We decided to continue on to the airport before, of course, sometimes they can find a new plane and leave earlier than planned. Despite the pouring rain, the delay was due to aircraft maintenance.
