The two teenaged girls who were in charge of the “Chicken Chuck” (I am not making this up) set the first rubber chicken in place, pulled back on the slingshot, took aim, fired, and the chicken fell flat on the ground actually right behind where it started.     In the end, we got to the campground at about 6:45, only to have to drive back into town (only 2 miles) to get firewood, as they don't sell it in the park. We ate dinner at 9:30, but we ate it—fire roasted sweet potatoes and grilled salmon with mango-tomato-jalapeno salsa. It was quite delicious.

    ... day of washing, running errands and just relaxing. We were all happy with this idea. So I get on the phone to the passport office and social security office to sort out my U.S. passport issues. I get it all sorted and realise I have to apply for a new Social Security Card (easily done) and then I can apply for my passport when I get home as it doesn’t expire until May next year. So at this point, it’s just our Australian Passports that are a priority.
