My mom and I swore this Christmas we would not buy so many gifts, but once again we failed to cut back. We did manage to get out to a few movies and to a concert with the Irish Tenors at the Allen Event Center. We celebrated Christmas 3 times. On the 23rd we Face-Timed with Bill's older sister Cathy (they were headed to Cuba on Christmas day), then the ...

    ... casino!

The CG was fairly large, but mostly empty. At one time, it was quite a park, but that time had come and gone some years before. Virtually everything in the place appeared worn down or worn out. It was very quiet and safe-feeling, although just a little depressing due to its condition. But we'd certainly stay there again. Partly, the cost was very reasonable. Y'all know that appeals to me!

    Next: on to Kansas!

... Bottom line, this little old lady had a touch of Alzheimer's. We were just happy to that we could help her out.

While in the Fort Worth area, it was a wonderful opportunity to check-in with my old childhood buddy again. We met previously in 2010 when we came through Texas on our first RV trip. Some 40+ years ago [scary to look at that number] Roger and I became close friends, growing up in rural central Wisconsin. He lived on ...
