    ... to Yosemite on Sunday, but the fires and normal Sunday throngs made for a not so great day to go to Yosemite. So, golf and shopping were on the agenda. Today, breakfast with Rick, Doris, Minnie, and Lil at Belmont CC where Rick and Doris are members. Thanks, Rick and Doris, for breakfast!     ... we could get close to ...in fact we walked through some and, as already mentioned, we drove through one tree trunk!The first part of the road home was about 30 miles of sharp bends and hairpins with a speed limit of 10-25mph which the cars in front kept too. Nevertheless the views continued to be stunning. We drove past rivers, a reservoir and large orange groves and on into the sunset! A bloody good day. They do have a lot of scenery here and everything is bigger in America.

    ... go to any of the hotels near the highway, as that was the drug area. She directed us to the main street and we found a Best Western, which was really nice.

    We had dinner and the obligatory 5pm happy hour drinks at a Brewhouse Bar and Grill across the road, which was really nice.

    We woke up to 34 degrees outside, 49 degrees inside. It was forecast to reach a balmy 42 degrees later on with possible snow showers…it was time to get moving, see what we wanted to see and get off the mountain by mid-afternoon! We pulled out of our campsite at 8:30 into a beautiful, albeit quite cool morning.
