We began our trip to Oshkosh on Thursday morning. Lunch in Tifton, GA at Hog and Bone Barbeque. Good sandwich - there is also one of these in Waycross. Arrived at the campground around 2 PM after changing to central time zone. Our site is about 20 feet from the edge of the lake. We can watch the boaters from our bedroom window! We'll try to leave early tomorrow since it is another almost 300 mile day. ...

It just feels like home (except it isn't spring in northern Wisconsin yet!) There are a couple of pairs of geese that seem to claim this area of the park, cardinals, bluebirds, and critters heard but yet to be seen. ... and helped the hollaback man first in selecting a new BB gun. He then helped us buy our licences...from the exact same website we had already tried! Argh...30 minutes later and no success. Although I did have a lovely new dress and top to show for the trip.

We grabbed lunch at Subway and headed back to the hotel where we tried for a third and final time to get the licences...success! Bet none of you knew that AJ and I had Australian passports did you? So ...

... we'd have wondered about all the signs, but politically speaking, they were all over the place. And, most candidates had three names, Harri Anne, Billy Bob, etc. Mostly Republican but a smattering of Dems, as well. Guess there's an election coming up.

We are in a beautiful State Park - LakePoint, and have a site on the lake. Just checked my camera and realized I didn't take any pictures today. I'll try to do better tomorrow.
