We began our trip to Oshkosh on Thursday morning. Lunch in Tifton, GA at Hog and Bone Barbeque. Good sandwich - there is also one of these in Waycross. Arrived at the campground around 2 PM after changing to central time zone. Our site is about 20 feet from the edge of the lake. We can watch the boaters from our bedroom window! We'll try to leave early tomorrow since it is another almost 300 mile day. ...

... and helped the hollaback man first in selecting a new BB gun. He then helped us buy our licences...from the exact same website we had already tried! Argh...30 minutes later and no success. Although I did have a lovely new dress and top to show for the trip.

We grabbed lunch at Subway and headed back to the hotel where we tried for a third and final time to get the licences...success! Bet none of you knew that AJ and I had Australian passports did you? So ...

Slow day today. Basically a travel day on our way to Jays.

We crossed two very large bays, Mobile and Pensacola. And while crossing the long bridges, we must have run into (literally) the Monarch butterfly migration. Every few seconds we "made contact" with Monarch butterflies - large, small. Sad.

We also drove along the back roads of Alabama, cotton fields, cotton fields, cotton fields. If we had dropped in from ...
