... The US really does know how to put on a game of sports. The Nashville Predators were playing the Florida Panthers in a double header, we had tickets for the first of the two games. Lots of music, announcements, dancing, and of course the speed, crash and bang of a game of Ice Hockey. We really lucked out, with the game being tied after regulation time and Nashville finally winning in a penalty shoot-out. Great ...

... for a while, and Lois spotted a cinema which was showing the latest Disney film, Maleficent. So after some convincing, we had made it in there, and it turned out to be quite good, with the emphasis being on the quite! NASHVILLE, TN

Unexpected surprises are always fun when we travel. Discovering Loretta Lynn, Tennessee, just outside Nashville was no exception.

There really IS a town named after Loretta Lynn. As we passed through from Union City, Tn to Raleigh, we stopped at the Loretta Lynn Kitchen Restaurant for dinner just to be able to say that we ...

Day 3 - Happy Birthday Neve!

Even though I haven't driven a mile of this trip, it's still totally exhausting. And so much fun at the same time. This morning I woke up before everyone else and as I was getting dressed, Neve woke up and said "good morning, mommy!" In the sweetest, happiest voice I had ever heard. She was excited it was her birthday even though we had no party or presents. She was just happy to be with her big, crazy family. Everyone knew that we ...
