On Friday we slept in because we were feeling a little tired, poor dad was absolutely exhausted! Julie, mum and I decided to head out and see if we could find somewhere to post some of our stuff home as my bag was getting heavy and I had just bought a pair of boots. So we walked down to the FedEx store we had seen the day before and got a shipping quote....we were shocked at the cost it was going to be, $510!!!!! Obviously we said no thank you and the man who worked there said to ...

... Rayna James' house (the character, it's not really Connie Brittons House) - it's blooming massive, deer in the garden the whole whack. I couldn't really get a good picture, but I know that I've seen where Rayna lives! So I made my way to Bell Vue where Ahmet lives he was perfectly hospitable. He's a 22 year old Turkish student, he's lived all over so we have some places in common. He's nice, makes me dinner and we chat the whole ...

... of country but still made an effort, all taking out our new leather cowboy boots for their first outing. Started on broadway and tried a few of the bars, all packed for a Monday night with live country music but all full of older people in their own groups. Found a nice rooftop bar that overlooks the whole of broadway. Ended up somehow sat on road blocks next to a building site with a few beers and wanging them into the skip. We concluded we don't like country ...

... they hold a mass for pilgrims where they swing a GIANT sensor - can't wait for that!

Watch the movie The Way if you want to see what the Camino looks like. When I get back I'll tell you how accurate or inaccurate it is ;)

Anyway, my itinerary is this: I will leave Nashville early on the 24th to spend time with family (and my new nephew!), fly from Chicago to New York on the 27th, and from there fly to Oslo, Norway on a red eye ...

We woke-up before the ********** of dawn and caught a flight to LAX and connected to Nashville. What a nice city! Much of the downtown has under gone a lot of redevelopment - new sky scrapers, convention center, music venues and museums everywhere. Great to see a city reborn. The old history, music and otherwise, is well preserved and celebrated. Lots of public art to see throughout the city. We arrived at our hotel in time take a walk to a local restaurant ...
