From Roswell we drive to Carlsbad Caverns. The caverns are on the Unesco world heritage list, so we decide to pay them a visit. Located 250 meters under ground are loads of stalagmites, stalactites, draperies, soda straws and popcorn. Soda straws being the tiny ones hanging from the ceiling . In Europe we call them Spaghetti. Popcorn are located on the ground. The cavern is beautiful, but we saw an even more beautiful cavern in Slovenia last year, so were a little spoilt. ...

We were very tired by the time we boarded, and after dinner we slept pretty well. I blew up my little neck pillow and slept 8 hours straight, unusual for me on the plane, and much appreciated. By the time I woke, we had less than four hours to go, most of which I spent watching a couple of forgettable movies.
