We are just beginning to pack and prepare for the trip. We've been talking about it for so long, and now it's just days away. I can't believe it is finally here! We have lots to get ready, but soon we'll be on our way, with literally nothing more than the clothes on our backs. The thought is so freeing.

Bumpy road and bayou

We left the house this morning and went 3 miles and pulled over to fix the bicycle cover. Stopped at a rest area on I 75 and fixed the front wheel well cover, the bolts sheared and I put new bolts in to repair. Stopped for lunch and then finished the day at the welcome center in Alabama. I'm well past 30 but still feel 29) with 24 more hours of racing with a wine and cheese party, a quick meal and at 10 tonight they will even have fireworks for me, followed by, more hot tubbing, all started with a seniors sunrise at IHOP.
