    ... the era, and purpose.

Next we go to the site of the Warm Spring that Roosevelt so enjoyed. It is on the site of a former tourist spa and hotel. The warm mineral laced water has been beneficial for centuries. FDR found the waters so stimulating that he tore down the old hotel, built a new one, and built pools for polio victims from the area and other areas to enjoy. The pools have not been used ...

It's a long 4 hour drive from Savannah back to Atlanta so we are breaking our journey in Warm Springs. On the way we call in at Ockomugee near Macon to stretch our legs. Definitely worth another stop at a better time of ...

We drove to Callaway Gardens, located in Pine Mountain, which is about 1.75 hours away from us. Our first stop was the Butterfly Garden for a lecture on butterflies and creating a butterfly garden.

We ate our lunch at a picnic table.

Due to the large number in the audience, the Birds of Prey show was held outside. It was sunny ...
