... way to sunshine and we were rewarded with bright, crisp vistas in all directions. We traveled through several bio-diverse zones during the 90-minute journey. that were dark in color and lying on the ground, the trees here were very light in color, almost white, these were in the form of stumps where you could actually see the root flair and the diameter of the original tree. ... for a friend who went to school here. The folks in the exchange were some of the nicest people we have encountered in any base exchange. Very helpful and one gal even gave us her personal phone number just in case we got lost. She also gave us a map of the base. After a stop in the Visitor's Center we headed over to the Rampart Lodge. The nightly rate was only $53.00 for a king bed room with TV, fridge, and microwave. There are enough towels to take care of ...

... arrived at Cheyenne mountain Resort and checked in. The lobby was stunning. We are in room 360 of the Clear Creek Lodge building which sits at the bottom of the hill behind the main building. As we pulled into the parking area for our building we saw a whole bunch of deer…like 5 or 6 grazing behind the building and between here and the main lodge!
