... were groggy and not too keen on getting up at 6:15, but we wanted a 7:00 a.m. departure, so we had to roust them.

The toughest part is always saying good-bye to Rally, but we have a great dog/hamster/house sitter, so we're feeling good. We’ll miss her like crazy, of course, but she’s in good hands. Rally seemed non-plussed by the whole event, laying on the comfy master bed between the pillows as we made our good-byes.

Holy smokes the bucket list is severely diminished today! A 5:00am start today. (Not a typo) Off to Boulder to experience my first hot air balloon ride. Started off with coffee and pastries then the balloons were inflated. First the balloon was rolled out and the the basket attached. One tidbit I should mention: this chapel is the Protestant chapel. Downstairs, in the basement, are a Catholic chapel, a Jewish chapel, and a Buddhist chapel. We did not tour those as we were upstairs in the Protestant chapel right up to closing, and ran out of time. The Wikipedia link above has photos.
