Although our flight was at 11:15, we wanted to get to the airport about 2.5 hours before take off and with an hour 20 minute trip to Heathrow from Riseley, we needed to leave a little after 7. The passes included total access to the estate and a time slot, which determined when you could tour the mansion. We left Alexandria and, at the last minute, took the turnoff for Theodore Roosevelt Island which has a large statue of Theodore Roosevelt. William wasn't too happy with another walk, but oh well... We walked over a bridge to the island and the statue wasn't too far off the trail. From the bridge, we had a beautiful view of Georgetown University.
