Houston we have touchdown, ha ha, not the Space Shuttle but we are sure glad to be here after all the worry yesterday about being able to depart or not. Early morning flights are the worst, but we were able to get ahold of our Gap representative early this am before going to the airport and she assured us things we still "a go". Arrived in Houston just after ...
Houston, Texas, United States indianajill... is still a distant light on the horizon. At least some of the newspapers are writing More pro immigrant articles. I read in a Brownsville paper many of our immigrant friends are giving up on the American dream. The discrimination is so thick you can cut it with a knife. It is just not worth it for some. Why come here to work your guts out, then get the cold ...
Dallas tx, Texas, United States lavidanueva... consulate and friends. Things took a turn when Howard Community College and CCID offered a much needed helping hand in March, and all of a sudden we are going to Suzhou! Everything seems ready now except for the final challenge - packing. It's the art that I have not mastered despite my love for travel. "Pack light and travel happy," claims Rick Steve of the PBS ...
Cypress, Texas, United States carolyncypress... Hooters which was funny. Back to camp, lunch and in the van again for 4 hr drive. Got to see a baseball game which was so much fun. The atmosphere was so good as soon as you walk in. Everyone was so excited and singing the baseball theme. Was Astros V Giants. Camp was grass for once but so wet with MASSIVE puddles.
Houston, United States sassypants... of it( plus he texted me when he saw the trailer and said he better not lose me in the movie). So sweet! On another note, I think I have created a huge spike in Disney Channel's ratings! Update: 5/2/07- Bad news. Many of you already know but for those that don't, Heather has pre-cancerous cells on her uterus and has to have a hysterectomy THIS THURSDAY. Yes, very major for her age( 34). If you read this send Heather a good vibe or text me and I will ...
New York, New York, United States clintandfriends... carousel in Customs - we then went and got our rental car and headed out. Armed with our list of necessities for the home in Costa Rica as well as the current list of needed Monster Trucks and 'Cars' cars for Will we hit the ground running and accomplished quite a bit. Will, keep watching the mail....your Easter 'box' is coming soon! The market was up on these shopping days...and you know what that means!!!
Houston, Texas, United States jimstephkrueger... to other locales in Europe but he will mainly be in London. He finds out if he will be at Oxford or not. Everyone knows, this is a BIG deal. If he gets to train at Oxford, well, Ry Ry is going to be VERY sought after when he gets back to NYC, much more than he already will be. I think he will end up doing an paid internship with Hillary Clinton, Chuck Shumer or the Gov. of NY, Eliot Spitzer. 2 of them have Presidential ...
Houston, Texas, United States clintandfriendsChristmas Eve and Christmas Day I hung out with the FAM and opened presents. I gave my nephew a 20 inch plasma TV, Jackie gift cards/perfume/workout clothes/etc., Mom an elliptical machine, and my dad an iPod. I received all kinds of goodies. Check out my Christmas Eve and Christmas Day pics!
Houston, Texas, United States njusticeThe worst thing about New Years Eve is . . . having a good time. The plan was to have dinner with Amy and have her as our designated driver, pick up Jim and Natalie at their home then go to a New Year's party and head out to a house party after midnight. I helped Jodi get the night started by making my very popular drink made of spiced rum, vodka (optional), milk, sugar, blended ice and of course lots of love (I purposefully left out the ...
Los Angeles, California, United States frhetoric... get back, lol. Now it's off to Krystal to get lunch before hand (for those of you who don't know, Krystal is like a southern White Castle and there is only one or two west of Little Rock, AR and one happens to be by the Bush Intercontinental Airport. Sweet!). Let's hope that "more likely to get in an accident on the way to the airport than on the plane" thing doesn't happen, even though it's more likely in Houston. Later.
