... shelves appears highly processed and fresh fruit and vegies seems to come from distant climes. "Plastic" eggs make an appearance at every breakfast - I think they use powdered eggs and present them in a different shape each am. Deep fried food everywhere. Tonight we have purchased a couple of steaks to have with salad - a bit of a challenge to cook them in a very small frypan but we will manage.

... I am having trouble with the concept of 400 years of naval history. This is a city that is so proud of their navy and the men who are serving their country and those who already have. There is a big air show on this week-end but we have decided not to go. 1 shower, 4 people....share and play nicely with others. Is this hotel room getting smaller? Nope! It's just fine. Very comfortable. 1:00pm- we are at the Roanoke park area. About to watch a "worth-it" short film on the history. The next day we had planned to wake up early & head to Norfolk, but we woke up late & decided to take a trip to Bryon's Hot Dog Stand. It was a quaint restaurant that had to-die-for $1 hot dogs & the best sweet tea.
