... really like the small towns with the local shops that sell local merchandise. The people in these stores are so friendly and treat us so nicely. They seem to think that we talk with an accent but we just didn’t hear it!

After leaving Petoskey we spent a day in Mt. Pleasant MI. It is the home of Central Michigan University which has a really big campus and lots of students, over 27,000.

We woke up early and set off to Grandma Gert's and arrived at 3pm. Long journey, but was so worth it! Lovely pulling into Jonathan's Grandma's street with the stunning view of the glassy lake. Our last night for October was spent in the Camping World in Houghton parking lot, as we needed to get some warranty work done. They have electric hook-up for two campers so it was nice. We did stop for some caches on the way down at Hanson Hills and then did the same in Houghton while we were waiting on the camper.
