Gray skies at the beginning of the day. We have some sun in the afternoon, but now it's cloudy again. Sun soon we hope.

Spring continues to pop out in Georgia. As we drive along we see redbuds and dogwoods blooming. We even see a yellow bell today. But the azaleas are not out yet. But we see the "real" harbinger of spring—pine pollen. We stop for a picnic ...

Interesting note: One of the fields (2-3 acres) beside the house is filled with small plants about 12" tall. When asked, the NPS guide tells us they are pecan (pee-can) trees. We finally got out of the RV park where we spent The Season (Winter). Drove 325 north up I-75 to I-10 west to Tallahassee RV. Stopped about 4 times along the way. Not quite used to driving so far yet. LOTS of traffic on the 6-lane highway around Ocala and Gainesville. We stayed in the slow lane and ...

We began our trip to Oshkosh on Thursday morning. Lunch in Tifton, GA at Hog and Bone Barbeque. Good sandwich - there is also one of these in Waycross. Arrived at the campground around 2 PM after changing to central time zone. Our site is about 20 feet from the edge of the lake. We can watch the boaters from our bedroom window! We'll try to leave early tomorrow since it is another almost 300 mile day. ...

... Perhaps we will try to learn more about what we actually observed. We know that no matter what we learn - the moment for us was magical and very special.

We did manage to stay here for three nights even through some of the heavy rains. This was just too magical a spot to leave too early. Besides, what we have come to understand is that you need to develop a "rhythm" for the weather and how you manage yourself in such a small ...
