Cold and cloudy this morning. Today's trip took us through Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. Leaving New Orleans we took 90 East, instead of I-10. It parallels I-10, but is through the bayou, and a couple of small towns. Very little traffic. In Biloxi, Mississippi, we got back on the interstate to make better ...

And Dylan and Ryan so 'grown up' now. Sanjiv and Nyanja ( sp?/ my apologies ) both looking well and no older despite the 8-9 yr. passed!!! We'll try to leave early tomorrow since it is another almost 300 mile day. ...

... Perhaps we will try to learn more about what we actually observed. We know that no matter what we learn - the moment for us was magical and very special.

We did manage to stay here for three nights even through some of the heavy rains. This was just too magical a spot to leave too early. Besides, what we have come to understand is that you need to develop a "rhythm" for the weather and how you manage yourself in such a small ...

... away and according to the literature, by the 1850's "ditches three to five feet deep had been cut into the land." Some of those areas are now up to 150 feet deep, hence, the name "Georgia's Little Grand Canyon."

We got our sneakers, water bottles (including water bottle for Patch) and walked the Canyon Loop trail (three miles). We started at the Visitor/Interpretive Center and ...
