      Relax, nothing in control! Raining. Captain in cockpit, v berth is warm and dry. Beautiful coastal Carolina's. Who needs yoga when you are sailing. I do take helm in the 1-100 breaks. 8 hrs in the rain & pulling into Casper marina for nice hot shower. Finally sun shining. ...

      ... happen as we traverse the hundreds of miles of the ICW. We know where the essential things are stowed so life isn't a mad scramble.

      The short run to Cedar Creek is a typical start. It's close enough (10 miles) that we can return if there is a problem or to get something absolutely essential but far enough along that we have a head start on the next day of travel. Tomorrow's run should get us to Mile Hammock ...

      ... purchases to make. Maggie turned in the car yesterday and we are hoofing it until we slip our lines and finally get underway southward. We will leave Deaton Yacht Service this morning and move Rhiannon to a slip in town where everything is within walking distance. This past month's activity has been stressful, involving packing up and moving out of my condo, putting everything's in storage, a hellacious 18 hour flight ...

      ... watching the moon rise. Then we went for a walk on the pier and a very nice man said he had been catching sharks for the last 3 hours and would let Brian catch one. Brian caught his first shark and was so excited he put it on his head and gave it a kiss before throwing it back in. It was only about 10-12 inches long but it totally made his night. The very nice man also offered us some of his rum which explained why he was so friendly. ...
