... adding knots to our boat speed. This would help us make miles but the long push up Adams Creek with the tide in our face would soon prove to be a tortuously slow effort. With dark approaching we slogged along, alone on this stretch as sunset eased closer. Passing Cedar Creek we faced an increasing amount of fog. ... watching the moon rise. Then we went for a walk on the pier and a very nice man said he had been catching sharks for the last 3 hours and would let Brian catch one. Brian caught his first shark and was so excited he put it on his head and gave it a kiss before throwing it back in. It was only about 10-12 inches long but it totally made his night. The very nice man also offered us some of his rum which explained why he was so friendly. ...
