... We watched the Dolphins and their trainers do all sorts of tricks. Unfortunately we couldn't take any photos their performances. Caught up with the gang after they had dinner. I didn't want to eat before big road trip. We went on the Ferris Wheel. The views of the city at night were fantastic. Photos didn't do it justice. We are leaving at 6am tomorrow to head for Orlando......8 hr drive. May stop off somewhere if we get tired! Off to ...

... an eastern region of Nashville taking refuge in the Alexis Inn. The app advertised the Alexis as close to Opryland and other attractions and included free wireless internet, a hot breakfast, and two double beds. The price wasn’t as much of a steal as New Orleans but still provided good accommodations for $74 per night (with Jessica’s $25 off coupon). Outside of the car the humidity challenged the Florida sun cast upon us the past four days. The ...

Atlanta and its OTT/slow security checks

A travel blog entry by dimps99 on Oct 13, 2013

The passport and immigration controls at Atlanta were by far the longest and most frustrating of the whole journey – and indeed any other journey that I've made. Having landing at 3pm local time there were just two very long and slow-moving queues for the incoming security checks, with frustratingly another 5 or 6 unmanned x-ray/conveyor sections standing idle nearby. After 45 minutes I had cleared ...
