    ... and Michigan. We drove the length of a couple of the lakes but didn't stop anywhere. We made our way to Verona Lake State Park and camped right by Oneida lake. Swimming was not allowed as they had a bloom of algae in the water. The sun was beautiful, it was peaceful and pretty quiet. A nice juicy burger cooked over the fire was dinner and we called it a night.

    After leaving Watkins Glen, we drove on to Hammondsport, the third "Finger Lake town" we visited, the one at the bottom of the next Finger Lake over (to the West), Keuka Lake. This is a very charming little town (another Budget Travel Coolest Town in America), but we got there rather late in the evening and many of the shops had closed.
