Stayed at the Crowne Plaza at the top of the hill. Not much to do around town but hang out. Some nice stores on the main strip. The best restaurant is a bit off the main strip and is a Japanese restaurant near the base of the hotel. Nearby, check out out Tail O' Pup BBQ in between Saranac Lake and Lake Placid Some random facts: Lake Placid isn't on Lake Placid...it is on Mirror Lake Nearby, Saranac Lake (where we stayed years ago), is actually on Flower Lake
