Just grabbed breakfast at McDonald's and gas after 2 hours on the road already. Stayed in Knoxville TN. It's been a wet and beautiful drive so far this morning. Of course it's just now daylight and starting to rain. We can tell we have gone north as we started out about 68 when we left hotel and by the time we stopped for gas we were all digging our sweaters out of the trunk. It is now 57 and dropping. ...

... are more about baser needs of showers, food and cleaning your stuff. People drink beer but I was pleasantly surprised when people all went to bed by 10. Even the partiers have to get up to hit the trail by 7. Everybody sleeps in the same room and in their own sleeping bags. There is one bathroom for everyone.
