Hot, hot, hot!

A travel blog entry by sanditravel

Heat stroke kinda day up here- whooda thunk it? 91 and NO breeze, except on the very fun roads!

Up at 6a and off to a hearty breakfast, then riding thru the fog for a bit. Scenery reminds me a lot of Denali park and parts of Alaska. Very green, lots of views of the lakes (Huron and Superior).

Corey and the Skeeters gave the crowd a wonderful show. He was involved in a five person ski pyramid, a few ski jumps and a big part of the entire show. I was very impressed, and to top it off he had a pair of fractured ribs! ...

Copper Peak International Ski Flying Hill

A travel blog entry by wheresgordon

... it's hard to say it counts.

Your visit to Copper Peak starts with a 365 ft. vertical ride up a chair lift. This lift parallels the landing hill for the jumpers. At the base of the hill is a level area to stop. The road has been diverted around this area.

At the top of the chair lift you find the ski jump. It's the largest in the world, ...
