Second time here. The dogs have gotten HUGE and still love to be petted. Great owners, clean place. Cater to bikers.

    Oh what a beautiful morning...

It got really quiet last night around 10:30pm...and very dark. We were right beside a lake so the heat and humidity made for difficult sleeping. Our air conditioner is very loud and we noticed that no one else had theirs on...so we used a fan instead...till about 5 when that, too was making way too much noise. So we got an early start. Made coffee and then threw the canoe in the lake and went for a paddle. Late last night and early this morning we heard several loons so ...

... lots of dragonflies, frogs, a squirrel, a deer, and a snake. Once you go so far, everything started to look the same so we turned around to go find something else to do.

We went back to La Pointe to get ice cream from Granpa Tony's. I had a waffle cone with a scoop of cherry ice cream on the bottom and a scoop of Carmel something or another on top. It was SO GOOD! After ice cream, we stopped at the local grocery store for marshmallows so we could roast them on the fire ...

Then a guy named Alex came over and was chatting with us. He is living on the island for the summer, working at the bar. He used to work on robots but he got laid ...

It was muggy and buggy as I left Glidden this morning with my stomach full of Maura's special recipe, oatmeal: laden with flax, hemp, chia seeds and with a sprinkle of unsweetened coconut to power me through to the next feeding. The humidity hung in the dark skies as I pedaled on an easy ride to Butternut, a sweet little town of 407, down the road. After a quick ...

... and time to teach me a lesson? Embrace the present and harmonize with the flow.

The rest of the day was smooth sailing, the gravel road soon disappeared into fresh new black top as the road crews laid hot asphalt on my way to Glidden. Maura and I enjoyed a great pizza at Glidden's gas station, washed ...
