    ... the shores young people were playing beach volleyball, so we found a shaded spot to have a fairly late picnic lunch, to have entertainment in front of us.
    We took the esky back to the car, then walked along a very long pier to get fresh air and enjoy the water life.

    ... flat, but the gravel slowed us down quite a lot. Along the way we stopped in a really nice town and had some ice-cream before the flnal 10 miles of the day. I've found cycling over 60 mile gives you way too much of a good excuse to eat anything you want! When we made it to Rochester we stayed with a guy called Jo who rents out his house on airbnb.     Arrived in Canandaigua, NY mid-afternoon on the 10th. Not a lot of choices for campgrounds in this area, so we settled for a KOA. Not our first choice, but then not that bad, either. Comfortable, good bathrooms and showers, and Wi-Fi. What else could you need?

    ... this past weekend, which is fine with us. We prefer to avoid large crowds and full marinas. This dock is not FREE, however. They charge a whopping $9 per day!

    Towns along the canal seem to like to paint murals on things. See the photos at the bottom for some examples in Lyons and Fairport. The Fairport Bridge had what we considered the best.
