... culture, and a lot of my time has been in touristy areas, so it could be clouded by people who are paid to deal with foreigners. But one of the biggest things that struck me was how open and friendly everyone was. Not only that, but many of the people we encountered just seemed more relaxed and just "real" to me.

Again, I don’t know if this is because I didn’t encounter anyone for more than a few days maximum, but there just seemed to be ...

Follow us along. Hopefully we'll get to update this blog regularly.

    Bye for now!

Our first day on the water after leaving the marina was beautiful. We had flat seas and very little wind.

The temperature was a pleasant 70 degrees. We stayed on the flying bridge all day and enjoyed the scenery of ships and shoreline passing us by.

This was a great first day on the water and Dennis was able to get to know the way the boat handles without any ...

... in other state parks, I think it is due to the fact it is a bit of a hike, and the trails…well, they were interesting. The ridge trail for the most part was dry, there were areas, that were tough, and vegetation that looked like poison ivy. A couple of the garden variety snakes to keep you on your toes, and about 1.5 miles and you are there. The wet spots were caused by some trickling creeks, recent rain, and no bridges or such. On the way back, I ...
