We hadn't made any plans for today and slept in a bit, but still got up in time for our free breakfast. At breakfast we shared a table with an older couple from Arizona. When I said we were from Loveland, CO, they surprised us by saying they had lived in Loveland until 1974! Last year they traveled back and visited their old house on Namaqua Hill. Out of all the people in this hotel, we meet them?! After breakfast, Jeff went to ...
Today we walked the Venice canals which were beautiful. Stopped for a tea/ coffee Hired some bikes and brought some cough mixture, this cough is getting on both our nerves! We cycled to Marina Del Rey and back Checked in for tomorrow's flight again we are not seated together! Getting to airport early to hopefully sort Then cycled to Santa Monica and had lunch Tonight may go to a little Italian, remember nothing here is little just our ...

We are straining at the seams a bit now though, largely due to Paul having purchased about a thousand t-shirts! ...
So it's my last night in Los Angeles and I'm starting to feel a little nervous about going off on my own. It's all very well being thousands of miles from home but when you have good friends around you who know where they're going, can help you with how much you're supposed to tip for different things (there are so many bloomin' rules) and can tell you the parts of the city you need to avoid, it does make this a whole lot more simple. I suppose I will get used to figuring these things out ...
