... area away from there to have a dip in the refreshing Waikato River.
That evening we made our way to another free camping spot near the mountains as we were to walk the Tongariro Crossing the following day. We arose very early to be able to meet a bus which we had booked a few days before. The bus picked us up at the finish car park where we left our camper. Mum immediately panicking thinking it was an earthquake tried to pull me out the door with just a towel on. I said I'm not running outside with my penis out to which she shouted your penis is irrelevant which we found quite funny. Caught the old cable car to top of city then wandered back down through botanical gardens to government buildings where we met ...

Wellies in Wellington

The rain continued to fall as we arrived in Wellington following a rather turbulent trip around the hillside. It was definitely one of the whiter knuckle drives as water, mist and blind corners wreaked havoc on our nerves. Unfortunately our nemesis the overcast white cloud continued to follow us meaning our first ...
