... a quick bite to eat before the major ascent to the main road and set off once more. We were running short of food and diesel so we headed into Napier before heading NE towards Taupo. This was a long drive (6hrs) and I was glad when we arrived. The site at Taupo was brill. Because we were late we went to the local chippy for fish and chips again! ... back down. After having a good laugh at our videos it was back to the hostel. We were planning on going on a sailing boat around the lake but the skydiving all took so long we settled for cooked meal in instead. We had a free day in Taupo the following day which we used to do the Tongariro alpine crossing, a 19.4km walk over a volcano. ... a briefing and got to choose what songs we wanted played through our videos, then got suited & booted for the dive. It was so cringey making the video but knew it would be worth it in the end ..
