Red Bluff looks a nice town, maybe 20,000, based on farming but settled in the 1800s gold rush. Good to see Bruce back in good health, trying to make up for lost time. ... Once again, the food was excellent.

We were "one the road again" by 7:45 en route to Lassen Volcanic National Park. Our first rest stop was at the Lake Almanor Rest Area, where there was a lovely view of Lassen Peak, one of the world's largest plug dome volcanoes at an elevation of 10,457 feet.
