    ... Project Life products so I could get started on some quick and easy Scrapbooking when I return to Australia. She then took me to LensCrafters to order my reading glasses. I managed to get the exact same frames that I had selected in Australia, Ralph Lauren 4071, purple tortoise-shell. Ordered them for collection the next day. Frames were USD139 compared to AUD500 at home. Total cost USD265 with single vision lenses.

    ... and then took us on the boat that takes you towards the Falls ( the Hornblower- formerly the Maid of the Mist) whilst you gaze at its magnificence getting soaking wet. Brilliantly, it also had a firework display and this finished off a great trip to Canada before we headed back to the hostel and slept. The next day entailed a very long train journey to NYC delayed by the outskirts of hurricane Arthur and as I write this I am entering into my 12 hour on this god forsaken ...

    ... basically do the same as us, none of them could get a cab either! The problem is that if we walked away and went back to the apartment, we would get no refund from our travel insurance but if they cancelled the tour, then we would be fully refunded ($1500) so we had no alternative but to wait. At 12pm they said we could board - now, we knew that it was a 1.5 hours flight so daylight and therefore photo-opportunities were slipping away before our eyes and yet ...

    Visited today: New York & Canada We had an early start today: 4.00 am! We had to catch a taxi at 4.30 and as you can't prebook one we thought we'd have trouble at that time of the morning. However, 20 steps from our door the first one we hailed pulled over for us - what a relief. This one drove quite fast but wasn't Fangio - thank goodness. The plane was only a little one - 50 seats and no screen to watch or play with - quelle horreur! Have to start remembering ...
