Ventura is one of LA's northern beaches and is a favourite getaway for Angelenos. It is north of Santa Monica beach. The camp site we have arrived at is not quite what we were expecting but will do for our first night back in the RV.
Last Saturday evening October 12th, we packed up as much as we reasonably could as we tomorrow are heading over the Sierra Nevada. ... Wet Wednesday" evening race. We were invited to watch it from their second story deck. It was a quick race as it didn’t start until 6 and sundown is around 7. The race is out in the ocean and the race committee runs it from their second floor deck via radio.
