... stretched higher than many trees I had ever seen. Their trunks were red but due to the forest fires that had occurred there, were blackened at the bottom, some had fallen down and were completely black. But, there were so many still standing; one had an arch which Trekkers could walk through and inside, you could see the inside of the tree with all the different sections. It was really relaxed and we had such a nice time climbing onto things and exploring the area. I got a bit hyper ...
... that we wanted. Matt said it was nice but he wasn't all that impressed. He has survived the Fremantle Prison a couple times and has done some behind the scene tours and he said that was much more interesting. I will have do to a tour of Freo Prison when we get back so i can refresh my mind about it as i have only been when we were here in aus for a trip in 1995.
Nicole and Mike have been looking forward to going to In & Out burger this whole time so ...
... In-N-Out Burger next to a Krispy Kreme. I got out, bought a dozen doughnuts, and jumped back in the car while it was still in the drive-thru. We drove back and enjoyed our burgers and doughnuts on the front deck.
It was the last day of vacation, but Grant still hadn't visited the beach in front of the house. So Anne and I finally got him down before we left. But we couldn't get him to stay around for the sunset.
... to the wharf to get an easy dinner at In and Out, a popular little burger place with only 4 things on the menu. We were excited to see the Golden Gate Bridge and lit up, turns out it doesn't have lights on it but the bay bridge does so that was still pretty cool. We got some groceries for tomorrow and some yummy sourdough bread then caught the cable car back to the Hotel, by this stage Shez and Kev were stuffed!!! Time for ...
... didn't see one thank goodness. I was having trouble coming to terms with bears, now lions, by the time we did the walk it was getting late, so it was time to head home, we got home at 6pm, light tea and bed.
A great day was had by all, we got to see and experience another side of America on a very lovely day with good friends, what else could one ask for.
