The second longest day of driving today. We traveled 395 miles and it took nearly 8 hours. After leaving Island park we headed up through secondary highways until we reached the I-90.

We stopped for fuel in Butte then continued on to Missoula to get some groceries and eat lunch. We also found a nearby dog park for Luna to run in. One side was entirely the river so it made me a ...

Always listed as one of the most iconic drives in America, the Going-to-the-Sun Road through Glacier National Park is a marvel. There's something about climbing out of a valley into the majestic mountain peaks that expels all worries of the day. I believe those worries escape through my mouth, agape most of the journey. We repeated the process from west to east to get back to the hotel. Saw many glaciers. Spectacular scenery and we got many pictures.

This area of the park has many trails and us ...

As with other mountainous places we've been this spring this was only one of a big handful of campgrounds open in the park at this time of year. Made choosing a spot easy! And the Going to the Sun Road, which spans 50 miles from the west entrance (where we were) to the east entrance was only open the first 16 miles. So our first ...

Our last night in Glacier was pretty mellow we all went to bed early, I think we are all a bit travel weary.

We stopped at the Glacier Lodge which was stunning again with spectactular views of mountains from a lake shore and had many of the Red Buses AKA Jammers waiting to take tourists on the Going to The Sun road. Zach loved the giant Teepee they had on the main grounds. Next stop Spokane ...
