... tour (no, really it was!) and an interesting insight into Canberra’s most important building.

For the rest of the day we drove around exploring the city along straight, circular, parallel, perpendicular and hexagonal road systems and ventured into a few of the huge parks. We went to the edge of the city at dusk to see if we could spot any kangaroos... and there were loads of them! All grazing only a ...

We haven't disappeared, and yes we are still pedalling! Thanks to those of you who gave us subtle nudges this week on awaiting the next blog instalment. Paul is currently on a mini writer's hiatus, and he's setting up our tent for the final bush camping night. Needless to say, that is one memorable experience I will not miss terribly. We have only 2 riding days remaining until we reach the Sydney Opera House. It's difficult to believe we left the UK over 4 months ago, and even ...

With a short stop Conder McDonald's for an all important coffee, we headed out to Namadgi National Park and along Naas and Boboyan roads to Brayshaw's Homestead and the start of the Settlers Hut Walking Track.

It was a gorgeous morning - clear skies and only a slight breeze. A perfect spring day as ...

... ended by taking the bus back to the hotel. On Saturday and Sunday they use a different route. So we got off the bus in the wrong place. However, thanks to Gladys, i put her into "walk mode" and in no time we had extricated ourselves from some God forsaken subdivision and arrived back unscathed and ready for a glass of wine to celebrate our navigational success.

Tomorrow we head for the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, a 350 k drive.
