    ... no need for education, they all do manual apprenticeships, it is monitored by US government. We have seen many of the buggys on the road, they are just like you see in the movies. We are going out to a farm in the morning, am hoping to purchase some genuine Amish goodies, may need three suitcases to come home. Amish means Gods Children.

    What a great day, so glad we made out to Lancester. After leaving New York before the sunrise this morning we headed on an 3 hour Amtrak train via Philly to Lancaster, where we meet Gene our driver for the day, what a neat guy if you are ever in this area and want a private driver can really recommend him.     ... facility.  By late 1920's there was discord over selling land that they ended up selling to the state for preservation purposes (only 28 acres).  A few buildings have been reconstructed but the Sisters building and Worship building were renovated and they take you on tours.
