Well we drove about 9 hours today, with the last 5 hours in rain that ranged from an irritating mist to a steady downpour. All the rain we've run into the last few days is really my fault, as I finally found a carwash yesterday and got about 3 weeks worth of grime off the car. ... We had a really nice site next to the lake with beautiful views. It was great to be back in a state park again! It is definitely harder to get a site at state parks now that it is summer. They tend to book up quickly but some do have first come, first serve sites so if you arrive early enough you may be able to get one.That's what we ended up doing with Myre-Big Island and we're really glad it worked out! ...
