Today we went to the spa Nordic in Gatineau which is the largest spa in North America. It was a super nice day, as in the sun was out but it was still bitterly cold. Maybe -15, which actually proved to be kinda good. The natural setting was beautiful with thermal springs set into the natural bed rock with waterfalls running down the rocks into the pools. I can't easily explain this myself but the journey of getting there, having an adventure that's all my own is something I really need right now. Maybe it's just my version of a mid-life crisis (I did turn 40 this year!). It's just something I need to do.
